If you are looking for college basketball picks that will give you the best chance of beating the books on a nightly basis, then you have to see what Steve Merril has to offer on a daily basis.  There are only a few basketball handicappers out there who can keep up with this guy, but when he gets on a run like his recent 18-7 streak there is nobody who wants to go against this guy.  Sign up for a subscription today and find out just how easy it can be to beat the college basketball spreads on a nightly basis.  Last night he rolled up another winner on the Oklahoma State at Tulsa game, let’s see why he was on the winning side:

Tulsa is the best team in Conference-USA.  The Golden Hurricane are absolutely loaded with talent and skill, and they return four starters from their 25-win team of a season ago.  They are certainly a NCAA tournament team if they stay healthy, but they need to win games against big-name teams like Oklahoma St tonight just in case they fail to earn an automatic tournament berth in their conference tournament.

Their defense is phenomenal.  They held teams to just over 60 points per game (34th nationally) last season, and so far they’ve continued that stellar defense this season.  Tulsa is allowing 60 points on just 36% shooting while holding five of their six opponents to 65 points or less.  They will frustrate Oklahoma St in a half-court game because the Cowboys need to play real fast in order to be effective.  In games in which they’ve been held to less than 70 points, Oklahoma St is just 2-4 SU/ATS over the past two years.

Oklahoma St head coach Travis Ford knows what his team is up against tonight.  “This is the toughest challenge so far,” Ford said.  “This team, Tulsa, I think is one of the top 20 teams. Look at the experience they have got. They have got so much more experience than we have got. They have guys who have been in their system for a long time. They have got size. They have got guards. They have got everything you could possibly want to win a conference championship and have a big year.”
