**5** NCAAB Underdog BEST BET of the Night Drake had a magical season last year and repeating that will be impossible. Only two starters return and after that successful campaign, head coach Keno Davis bolted to greener pastures in Providence. The Bulldogs lost Adam Emmenecker, Leonard Houston and Klayton Korver, all of whom combined for 33.1 ppg along with numerous rebounds and assists. This team is going to be good once again but it will be far from great and this over inflated number is based on last year and not this year.
Morehead St. is 0-2 to start the season and that helps up out with value as well. The Eagles lost at UL-Monroe by a bucket and were handled at Vanderbilt by 26 points. The Commodores were favored by 17.5 points in that game and now the Bulldogs are favored by only a bucket less? Vanderbilt is a solid team from the SEC picked to finish in the middle of the standings and there is no way Drake is on the same level. One key stat from the first two games is the Eagles going 22-25 (88 percent) from the free throw line.
Morehead St. boasts more quality returning talent in its frontcourt than any other team in the Ohio Valley Conference. It matches up very well here as the Bulldogs strength is also the frontcourt. The Eagles have center Kenneth Faried and forwards Leon Buchanan and Maze Stallworth all returning from last season and while the start has been slow, they will come on. Drake has forwards Jonathan Cox and Brent Heemskerk who are both solid but that is about it.
Up top, Josh Young is an All-MVC guard for the Bulldogs but after that, the backcourt is pretty thin. Morehead St. brought in Robert Murry who averaged 19 ppg, 4.1 rpg, 4.3 apg and three steals for Truett-McConnell College in Cleveland, Ga. He is the leading scorer thus far and can make things happen. Morehead St. is picked 2nd in the OVC and while Young and Cox are all-conference caliber players for Drake, these teams are more even than what this line is showing. We will jump on this huge line. 5* Morehead St. Eagles
